Villanova Wildcats
Coach Jay Wright enters the 2007-08 season with a relatively young squad, but they are talented enough to make some headway in a grueling Big East. While 'Nova did lose some talented players due to graduation, there are still players with a lot of ability at Coach Wright's disposal, including a strong freshman class that will push the incumbent players for minutes. The jewel of Villanova's team is sophomore point guard Scottie Reynolds. After a stellar freshman season, 'Nova fans are expecting even bigger things from Reynolds.

He will be joined in the backcourt by shooting guard Reggie Redding and wing forward Dwayne Anderson. A freshman class consisting of Corey Fisher, Malcolm Grant and Corey Stokes will push the returning wing players for Villanova. If Redding or Anderson falter, expect Fisher, Grant, and Stokes to get plenty of minutes. The frontcourt is solid but perhaps unspectacular. Juniors Dante Cunningham and Shane Clark are expected to start in the post, while Antonio Pena and Casiem Drummond will provide the necessary depth.

With Reynolds leading a talented group, expect the Wildcats to make a lot of noise this season, especially in the tough-as-nails Big East.
