After an incredible 2007 for Jayhawks fans, what does 2009 have in store? The running game will be manned primarily by Jocques Crawford, a junior college signee who rushed for over 1900 yards and 19 touchdowns last season before he transferred to Kansas. Crawford is expected to pick up graduated Brandon McAnderson left off and give the Jayhawks a potent offensive attack. On the defensive side of the ball, the Jayhawks experience little-to-no drop-off. Expect this team to smash opponents around the field as they work to improve on last year's top-30 defensive ranking. The KU linebackers will be wreaking havoc all over the field and are led by Joe Mortensen, a player with play-on-Sunday potential.
